    3. What is your concept??? If it appeals to me why not.

      Delete
    4. Hey dear....thanks for your reply...

My concept is little bit similar to your royal accident yet different...

      So here is the concept:-

Pratap is a prince and his parents is jaiwanta and uday singh... Ajabdeh father is manager in uday company....and her mother hansa and jaiwanta also best friend...
Ajabdeh is 5yrs younger from pratap....and here phool and pratap are best friends hain phool ki taraf se but pratap ajabdeh ka best friend hain and he loves her so doea ajabdeh....ajabdeh ek dum simple rehti hain ek dum jassi jaise koi ni types. As phool is also a princes so she hates ajabdeh...
Ajabdeh and pratap both loves each other since childhood but never confess...
In this dheerbai is uday sister and loves ajabdeh father like obsession and want him any cost but ajabdeh father rejected her so now she wants revenge so she did something so that uday hates ajabdeh father and woh usse naukri se nikal deta hain or phool bhi iska fayda uthati hain or pratap ko ajabdeh ke barein main bhadkati hain and now pratap hates ajabdeh and both prafool humiliate ajabdeh...now ajabde family leave mewar... In between ajab win scholarship so she goes London for further studies and ajab father also starded a small business plus her wife also started her cooking business....

      After 14 years

Now ajabdeh family become so rich...

      Even from pratap also...

Now punwer have 5 hotels and two business...

One more thing patta is real brother of ajabdeh...

And in londen ajabdeh is totally changed now she weara modern clothes like mini skirt and more beautiful...

She is famous model and dancer in all over worls ans also she topped in mba...
Now she ia 19 yrs old and famous....

On the other hand pratap and his family come to know dheerbai truth and they send her in jail and now want to apologized punwers and pratap specially ajabdeh....ajabdeh is in londen...

Uday wants a contract from the pari company and he goes to there and gets shocked seeing the owner of this company and he is non another then ajabdeh father he apologized to him and asked him for contract... Mamrak gives contracts for his ability but doesn't forgive him because he says ki agar usse ajabdeh maaf kar degi to woh bhi kaf dega...

Now pratap famiky don't know that ajabdeh is the super model and dance jisse woh apne yaha ke event main chief guest bulana chahate the...and phool is also fan of ajabdeh but don't no she is ajabdeh...and ajabdeh hatea pratap more than her life...now tumhe dikhana hain kaise unki love story start hoti hain

    5. Your concept is full of characters interestingly woven, but here's the thing, I dont do deceits and stuff in moderns and I don't write the Praja phool triangle. My tales are only focussed on relationships and their complexities, in the world, and romance. However, i would suggest you to go ahead with this and weave an amazing tale, I am sure I will read. India Forum MRP page is a wonderful platform for your story. All the best! :)

  24. I just wanted to know that Maharani Ajabde baisa was really Maharana Pratap's favourite wife
I have searched d net but couldn't find anything regarding this that she was d quick consort & mother of successor of Rana Amar Singh

    ReplyDelete
  25. I mean to say Queen Consort
    Sorry for spelling mistake.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes Indeed, she was his favourite queen. If you visit Mewar you will find only her mention everywhere a wife is mentioned of the Maharana, like the others didn't exist. You ask the locals and they often say ek hi maharani thi unki, Bijolia ki Baisa. If you visit Bijolia you can find old locals, telling the folklores of how Bijolia is the Maharana's sasural and he used to visit the place since he was thirteen. I asked a man, about eighty, named Khatu Singh, in the old Bijolia premises, if Maharana Pratap himself chose her. He said in Mewari language whuch my Driver eventually translated to "He used to be friends with rao Surjan Singh of Bundi, the prince who later married one of his sisters. He would often explore the area around Bijolia and Bhilwara as it was the border of mewar and bundi and also dominated by Bhils. On the way to Bundi people stopped and rested at Bijolia. Rao ramrakh was one of Udai Singh's 16 main chiefs. And hence Kunwarsa befriended his eldest daughter Ajabdeh." The old man smiled at me and said " Mitra thee woh. Kunwarsa ne apne parivaar aur Udai singh se larai ki thi unse vivah ke liye" that made my heart dance! Udai didn't approve the crown prince's first wife and future queen to be someone less than a princess, however royal she might be. Also, that was the first trigger of tension between Udai and his first born. So yes, she was the love of his life. He is said to have mourned her death in silence without even touching water for two days, so yes he loved her immensely. I hope you got your answer.

    2. Wow!! Please tell me more of these stories. I agree with Aishwarya; even when I search the net I find mostly about his battles which I already know. I have visited the City Palace bool store and was looking for personal life info but was unsuccessful. Do share more stories.

      Delete
    3. Well the reason why you can not find much about a Rajput's personal life is basically two. One, unlike Mughals they never wrote their own glorified Biographies, giving an insight in to their lives, and second, they had immense respect for the privacy of a king and his family, especially the queens. Even today people address her as "Ranisa" and never by name. That is the amount of respect. If You wanna know of my Mewar experiences do check out the "Travel Log" tab, you will find experiences as well as pics!

    4. Cool I will check it. And yes I loved the update :)

  26. Yeah, thank you
Actually there is nothing mentioned while I was surfing d net about Maharana's personal life, i didn't get anything.
I actually get to know more of his patriotism towards his Mewar so I wanted to know more of Maharani Ajabde Baisa his favourate one.
If you know anything more about Maharanisa please do tell me.

  35. First of all a very very congratulations on your 400th post on d blog.
You write, not write I should say but d way u show ur immense love, respect, pride for the Braveheart's & show us that no matter how many years are passed but stilled the Rajput's bravery, their love for their motherland, sacrifices & compromises they made in their lives will always inspire us no matter what.
Even today the name JAUHAR makes me very cold as if my body is numbed & brings chills down my spine.
With your stories I get to know more about them & not only that you did bring out the most strongest women of raputanas like Rani Padmini,Rani Karnavati,PaanaDai,Maharani Jaivanta Bai & Maharani Ajabdeh.
They also played a very crucial roles as daughters, ranis, wife, mother, grandmother, sister. I Salute them all.
They are truly Viranganas where their sacrifices are not being written down in history & have been sidelined but with your stories we get to know how strong they were.
Please do continue with ur amazing stories.
Well I would really like to know more about these virangans & most probably about Maharani Ajabdeh.
Please do tell us about Rana Aamar singh too!!!

  39. Well, honestly speaking I was again reading your previous stories as u have to post the new update of ur recent one.
Believe me Heart's Desire is one such story that I am reading again & again & again.........
Whenever I read on Maharana personal life, one thought has stuck my brain like a bee that stuck to flower for nectar that what relationship was being shared between his many queens & his children!!!
Though we all know by now that Ranisa Ajabde was very close to him as u have actually proved but on contrary what about other queens & of course his children.
Did Maharana used to spent some little time with other queens too whenever he used to get some lesuire time of his work??
Many questions r there revolving around my mind about his first son & successor Amar Singh too.
Nobody mentions much about Rana Amar Singh.
I've heard people say that he was no where closer too Maharana be coz he didn't fight till his last breath & brought back Chittor fort with peace treaty wid much mughals whereas he should fight rather taking the Chittor fort as a Goodwill gesture.
This thing has stuck like a chord in my nerve.
What about his other brothers, like Shakti Singh came back for his elder brother Maharana during Haldighati war whereas was Amar Singhs brothers at that time??
Some people say that he was loved dearly by his subjects partly be coz of Ranisa Ajabde Baisa motherly nature towards them??
Please do help me with this☹☹

    1. First, let me start with he had no leisure times. He had married Solanki bai as per family traditions of the heir marrying a solanki princess. Champabai Jhati was a chieftains daughter. Jasobai was cousin to Ajabdeh. Phool bai was married to him to safeguard her father from Rao Maldeo. Her father revolted against him for supporting Mughals n went to Chittor for help n alliances. All his other marriages were mainly out of guilt as the fathers n brothers of those princesses had been killed in wars fighting for him. His sons 17of them had unity unlike his own brothers, credit for that to Ajabdeh Baisa. His second son Chand was almost ten years younger to Amar, three daughters in between. Chand to Amar was much like Shakti. He was a teenager when both he and Amar fought in haldighati. The others were much younger. His last three were born after Ajabdeh died. He had been a responsible father and husband as far as protection and giving them rights are concerned. I have read in many places that many of his wives were against his lifestyle but none dared to raise a question. Mewar was always his love. He had seen his children starve n decided to surrender only to be stopped by Ajab Baisa and Amar.
Shakti, as per the latest findings is believed to be the spy of the maharana at Akbar's court. Rumor of his fallout wd udai Singh was staged just before the chittor seize and he went to join Akbar in the next few years. This can be further proved as in 1578 he escaped Agra fort prison with help of some Rajputs and came to Kumbhalgarh. Pratap made him Rawat of Baasi. His wife as you know was Pratap cousin. His other brothers Vikram jagmal Sagar etc had joined Akbar n remained loyal there. Sangram, son to veer bai was appointed jagirdar of chittor but watchhing Maharana filled him with guilt and he committed suicide.
As for Amar Singh I don't know where you read but each book mentions highly of him. He was a perfect blend of his father's bravery n mother's kindness. At the age of eight, when he followed his father towards Kumbhalgarh in the forest of kelwara the queens procession was attacked by Mughals. He had restricted them without any formal training until his father arrived. Since then he started training and his first war was at age 14, he had fought all major wars alongside his father. Once in his lack of experience, Salim had made him believe that they were good and he had offered his father to surrender. What followed was a lesson from his parents that he didn't forget all life. He won 17/21 battles in his life against Mughals. Successfully keeping them off mewar. After three unsuccessful attempts he had to sign the chittor treaty upon his grand mom jaivanta bai's suggestion to fulfil his fathers dream. He had no resources to get back chittor by fighting. He even attempted to get the capital shifted back to chittor but the people feared it being cursed. Do read the conditions of the glorified treaty between him n jehangir. Karan his son was friends with khurram much against his will. He helped his father administrate mewar from a very tender age. Although not as valiant or far sighted like his father Amar Singh lived up to the expectations of being his son n heir.

  40. Thank u....
I know that Maharana didn't have any leisure as his life was committed to his motherland.
But many people who I have heard about Maharana speaking very highly of him but when it comes to his son Amar Singh people never appreciated him .
That is d reason I wanted to know be coz somewhere down d line I was not at all believing this.
Is Rana Amar Singh name also significant in Mewar or he is just known by his father Maharana's son??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No one was as significant as his father was. No one would ever be. He was Rajputana's greatest freedom fighter. Even though Rana Sanga achieved more those are also over shadowed by his grandson's struggles. But yes Rana Amar Singh has his own identity. He is not famous in history just as Maharana Pratap's son. He build a Mahal at city palace. Pratap's cenotaph. And tried to maintain the dignity of a free state. However, his son Karan in his short rule was quiet a disappointment allying with Shah Jahan. Jagat Singh didn't oppose his father in his short reign. And then came Raj Singh. He defeated Aurangzeb and had the valor n vission of his forefathers.

  41. Thanks u so much for this information.
I am really very happy that Rana Amar Singh has done something to make his parents proud.
Whatever he could do he had done it with dignity & his love for his motherland.
Fighting 17 wars against Mughals & wining them was also not easy & he had done with his head held high!!!
He has created is own identity that itself is a biggest achievement though overshadowing his father will never make him that much proud than he will be feeling now being called out by his son!!
During the reign of Maharana Pratap Singh, that was a Golden Period in our Indian History as well as in Rajasthan,Mewar.
    Isn't it!!

Sisodia Family History: Sons and Wives

I am back with another History post, this time it is on the wives and sons of Rana Udai Singh II of Mewar, his son and heir Maharana Pratap and Rana Amar Singh. This is a continuation of the Sisodia Family History I posted some time back. The information has been taken from Annals of Mewar by James Todd, Maharana Pratap by B.N. Of Faith and Fate

Series Announcement! Historical Fictions are special, so here is one, short but special tale close to my heart after a really long time!

This story is a special one because it is a complete historical fiction with very little connect to the fan fictions I have written previously. However, I have maintained the sequence of events, reading history books on the context.
This is not a story of a man and a woman, their love and trust. This one is about the tests time often puts people through, forcing them to change. My protagonists in this one are hence, two princesses of the same age.
Ajabdeh Punwar or Ajbante Kanwar Baisa, as she is locally called is the princess of a very significant district of Bijolia in Mewar. Bijolia lies in the seat of political events, at the border of Bundi and Mewar. Having her lineage from the mighty Chauhans, her forefathers once ruled Mewar. Her father is an officer in the army of Mewar under Rana Udai Singh and she is a lady of principles, matured for her a…

Toh Chaloon...

“Pratap Singh weds Ajabdeh Punwar”
He had stared at the golden letters in the red card for a moment. It was mailed to him by his mother. He wondered what was in this girl that his father, who never approved of anyone easily, liked her enough to get her married to his only son. He had reached home two days before the wedding when the rituals had already begun. Since the day his father had told him about his choice of a bride, he had made up his mind to go ahead with this marriage for the sake of his mother’s constant persistence. This would make her happy. Personally, he couldn’t care less; he knew his life was not his. Major Pratap Singh Sisodia lived for his mother and motherland. He never felt the need of someone in his life even when his mother insisted everyone needs a home to come back to after battles and scars. He did not ask much about her either. He wondered why the girl did not show much interest too. Was she being forced into this? The wedding card was the second time he had…

Setting Goals

“And in the entertainment news, today we have a special segment, Jalaluddin Akbar and Rukaiya Begum said Qubool Hai!” Ajabdeh frowned at the news, which flashed pictures of the wedding as well as their honeymoon and turned off the television. She was happy that things went better than she planned but the talks of weddings were definitely not her cup of tea. To her horror, that was the only thing Heer and Hansa talked of nowadays. She knew Heer had a thing for weddings unlike her. She freighted happiness for the sake of it. Her living room was in a mess, with papers scattered everywhere. She was finally on the couch with the final draft on her lap and her laptop on the center table. She had to send the draft by the next day to the publishers. Brownie seemed too happy to be back home with his Humans and he was busy tearing up the pieces of paper Ajabdeh had scattered around the floor.
The wedding was a grand affair and Ajabdeh was happy for her own reasons. For in the morning of the wedd…

Maharana Pratap : The Sun of Mewar

Many of you have read my fan fictions as well as historical representations of the life and times of Maharana Pratap Singh of Mewar. I provided a small details of his life in many articles. But never have I ever made a separate historical  post on him. This one was requested and hence here it goes. Needless to say, this one is very special. Leave your love. ❤️
Background and Birth: The year was 1540. Mewar was under a cloud of uncertainty. Banbir, their ruler for four years now, was a very incompetent ruler who was always spending his time in luxury, drinking and dancing girls. The crown prince Udai Singh was rumored to be killed by him. Chittorgarh was in darkness. Around March 1540, Mewar once again saw hope as some trusted generals along of Mewar with Kunwar Udai Singh attacked Chittorgarh taking Banbir by surprise. He was soon to realize he had killed not Udai but Chandan, his Dhai Panna's son. Eighteen year old Udai Singh was fighting his first war.
In the fort of Kumbhalgar…

Partnership

The majestic fort of Kumbhalgarh had a breathtaking view. Ajabdeh stood at the edge of the longest wall of India, watching the sun set. Today was special. It was on this very day two years back that her book Choices had released. There had been no turning back since then. She was writing her second one. In these two years, her image had changed for the media. She was not the party animal anymore. She occupied the position of the MD of Surajgarh Group of Heritage Hotels, an initiative of the Sisodia Punwar Mughal Partnership. She had successfully run NGO programs across the state alongside Heer under the Punwars banner and earned a name for good causes. She frowned at her watch and stared back at the gates leading out of the fort. Still no sign of him. Her phone rang and she picked it up and moved to a fairly empty corner away from the crowd.
“Hello?” “Jija!” Heer sounded excited on the other side, while she frowned. “It’s snowing!”  Heer and Shakti had been visiting Ruqaiya and Jalal in…

The Rebel

“ Love can break all barriers, and make the heart a rebellion.”
Kunwar Partap could not sleep all night. Deep unsettling thoughts disturbed his peace. He was uncertain. About Mewar and the war, its future and consequences. And of his emotions. From the moment Rao Ramrakh mentioned of his father cancelling the marriage alliance a strange emptiness filled his heart every time he saw her. Was it because of the guilt he felt realising what a pure soul Ajbante Baisa was, admitting he was wrong about her or was there something more to it he could not place. He could not help praise how dignified and understanding Ajbante was. All Kunwar Partap knew was that never in his life he had disobeyed the orders of his parents, big or small, all except in her case, when he wrote to her two years back. Could he disobey them one more time, for her? His heart and mind were at a different battlefield where he was an amateur.
As the light of dawn filled his chambers, Kunwar Partap had a certain longing to t…

The Chosen Ones

“How you see the outcome of a war often depends on whose side you are on.”
The forestland of Bhilwara were dense. It was also the border between Mewar and Bundi, the most powerful states of Rajputana. The borders were being constantly patrolled by the guards of Mewar, owing to the recent win over the Afghans. Sher Shah Suri’s general had been defeated at last at Chittorgarh, the capital. But the borders in this area were never safe, especially with so many villages near it. Apart from enemies, there were looters and dacoits on the route too, who often troubled the travelers. Not far from the forestland was the Chambal basin of the Aravallis.
It was a very hot summer afternoon. The guards stopped beneath a tree, tired and thirsty in search of water. Two travelers were resting there, one was an old man, who seemed to have weak limbs, another his son, probably. “Are you looking for water, Brother?” The younger man asked. “Yes.” The soldiers were pleased at the travellers offering them water …

The Promises

“Love comes unexpectedly, like a gust of wind in the summer afternoon.”
The morning was gloomy at Bijoliya. Rawat Chundawat and Rao Ramrakh Punwar sat with dejected faces that showed that they had been insulted enough for their idea of peace by the Rana. Kunwar Partap sat rubbing his hands with a frown. Kunwar Shakta fumed at his father’s irrational behaviour. “I apologize.” Kunwar Partap broke the silence “On his behalf, for your insults.” Rao Ramrakh looked up at the crown prince joining his hands before him, in shock. “No No Kunwarsa!” He held his hands humbly “You need not apologize. Ranaji is right. This is his decision, we cannot…” His words faded out as Rawatji placed his hand gently on his shoulder.
“It cannot be his decision if it is Mewar’s future at stake Raoji.” Kunwar Shakta fumed. Kunwar Partap shot him a warning glance that made him stop. Kunwar Shakta was angrier at what Rawatji mentioned. Their father had even gone to the extent of breaking personal ties mentioning “there…

The Peace Talk

“True Love grows slowy, in the tender heart, like a sapling grows in to a tree. It is this love that survives all storms.”
It was dusk when Kunwar Partap was alerted by the sound of a familiar anklet walking towards his guest quarters. He stopped shining his sword and turned to see Kunwar Shakta at his threshold with a very reluctant Ajbante Kanwar in toe. She was nervous from the looks of it, and unlike all the other times, her dupatta was not laid over her head, and her hair was neatly tied in a braid, falling over one side of her shoulder while her dupatta occupied the other side.
“I wanted you to hear out what Baisa has to say Dadabhai.” It was Kunwar Shakta who met his approving nod and entered his room as she stood at the threshold. “Come in.” He spelled it out for her, making her look up from the carpet momentarily at his face before she crossed the threshold and entered his chambers. Ajbante Baisa could not help notice the small idol of Maata Bhavani that was kept in a corner of h…
